Always remember, there will be reverberations. Everyone "reminded" the subtasks thousands of times, finally, the multi-level subtask function has been officially launched! Friends who have not yet upgraded are welcome to go to the App Store to update the latest version.

This article will introduce subtasks from the following aspects so that you can use them better:

    • use as key result
    • use as a milestone
    • Use as a classification
  • Instructions

What are subtasks?

When our goals are too complex or the time span is too large for us to find it difficult to achieve, we often need to disassemble the goals step by step, disassemble them into tasks, and make the granularity of the disassembly reach the level of clear execution .

This time, Goal Map supports task dismantling with up to 6 levels of goal layers, which can greatly meet the dismantling and subdivision needs of goals and tasks.

How to use subtasks better?

1. Use as key result

"Key Results" is a concept in the famous goal management model OKR. The full name of OKR is "Objectives and Key Results", O is Objectives (objectives), and KR is Key Results (Key Results). The core role of "key results" is to use accurate quantitative data to measure the achievement of goals.

In Goal Map, the parent task can be quantified to perform quantitative counting of key results, and subtasks can be used as specific execution tasks under key results.

For more usage of quantitative tasks, please refer to this article.

2. Use as Milestone

If a goal is not easy to achieve in the short term, but it takes too long to overdraw people's enthusiasm, so we need to split the multiple stages of achieving the goal, that is, milestones . For example, to launch a new app this year, we can Milestones are set as stages such as "project kick-off meeting", "app product design completion", "app development completion", "functional acceptance".

3. Use as task classification

When there are too many tasks under a goal and have clear category attributes , we can set the parent tasks to be classified one by one.
