✅ Quick guide to task completion

Planning to tick off a few tasks today, or start with a small goal? In GoalMap, completing tasks is never a burden — it’s a little spark of accomplishment ✨

📍 Where you can complete tasks

Wherever you are in the app, you can easily complete tasks:

  • Schedule page
  • Goal details page
  • Task details page (after opening a task card)
  • Home screen widgets

👉 How it works:

  • Tap the checkbox ☑️ to complete a task
  • Swipe right on a task card (in-app only) to complete it
  • On home screen widgets, only tapping is supported (swiping is not available)

🔄 Single-day / range / recurring tasks

Single-day & range tasks

Once completed, the task will immediately be marked as done, and it will appear as completed in the schedule, goal details page, and task details page.

Recurring tasks: check-in vs. complete all

Recurring tasks can be finished in two ways:

  1. Complete today’s check-in: For example, “Read for 30 minutes.” Once checked off, the task will show as completed in the calendar and monthly view, but it will reappear on the next recurrence date. In the goal details page and task details page, the task will still show as “not completed,” since the whole task isn’t done yet.
  2. Complete all: When you’ve fully achieved the overall goal (like finishing a whole book 🎉), go to the task details page, tap the 「…」 button in the top right corner, and select “Complete all.” At that point, the task will be marked as completed in the goal details page and task details page. Note: choosing “Complete all” does not create a check-in record for today.

Tip:

  • For recurring tasks, checking off in the today’s task list, monthly calendar view, goal details page, or task details page = only completes today’s check-in

📊 Quantified tasks

Quantified tasks let you track specific amounts, and they support both daily check-ins and overall completion:

  • Without recurrence: they can only be completed once the total amount is reached
  • With recurrence: the app uses your daily input to decide if today’s check-in is complete; once the total is done, you can choose to finish the whole task

🌱 Final note

Every check-in brings you one step closer to your goals.
Whether it’s a small task for today or a big long-term goal, that moment of completion is always your shining moment ✨
